Sure, we all have those days sometimes. But to be honest I
can’t imagine doing anything else! What could be better than discovering the
perfect home for a discriminating buyer or helping someone to finally sell that
home that they couldn’t do on their own? Yes, there are a thousand reasons why
I love being an agent and these are my top 5!
I Never Stop Learning
If there’s one thing that
we can all agree on it is that no one can ever truly master the real estate
industry. It is ever changing and I honestly learn something new each and every
day. I have learned to deal with people from all walks of life and more
importantly I have learned to appreciate them. We are all unique and each of us
special. The more clients and people I deal with, the more I see our
differences as a positive thing.
Meeting New and Interesting People
Where else can you meet so
many wonderful people as I do? Think about it, real estate agents interact with
a lot of people and almost always in a positive way. I especially enjoy meeting
with other agents. They are always so helpful and willing to share everything
that they have learned as well. Many businesses like to represent themselves as
“one big family” but they don’t even come close to our industry! I have formed
countless bonds with hundreds of people that are sure to last a lifetime. There
simply is no way to put a dollar sign on that
kind of success!
Lending a Helping Hand
It might sound “corny” to
some folks but the truth is that I really enjoy helping all of my clients,
especially the families. Finding the perfect house is a tough decision and
selling the home where your children grew up or your grand mom lived is even
tougher. Sometimes there are a lot of emotions involved in the process and
there have been times I was a friend and confidant every bit as much as an
agent. I’m proud of the fact that I was able to help people find the home that their children will grow up in and where
they will someday be the grandparents.
The Most Important People in the World
Like you, the most
important people in my life are my family and friends. For most people work is
completely separate from their personal lives but as you know not for realtors!
Often I am referred to clients by my friends and family and in a small way
that’s like working with them. Sometimes I even get to represent someone I know
and that is the best experience of all. Knowing that the people you care about
the most trust in you and appreciate your guidance and advice is the greatest
feeling in the world.
The Anti Uniform Coalition
I don’t know why but I
just can’t stand being told what to wear. Naturally I need to dress
professionally but it’s still much better than blue polyester and work boots! I
guess that’s the only problem with being a realtor; having the best job in the
world has spoiled me!
